Here you will find my personal thoughts and take on whatever subject I am thinking about.

2/1/11
Well, as many of you already know, I have accepted a promotion with the USGS and will be relocating to Carson City, NV in April, 2011. My fishing will take on a whole new look. I am excited about the new work challenges and the new adventures I will experience. Will keep you all posted on the latest happenings.

12/27/10
Great time with family and friends for Christmas. Now I look forward to some warmer weather and some great bass fishing.

11/01/10
It was an exciting week last week. The Fishers of Men Regional was on Lake Dardanelle. My teammate and I had a good practice and anticipated doing rather well in the tournament, but other things were in store for us. The weather changed rapidly on us opening morning, and left us with few options.  Needless to say...we didn't do well, but there is always next season.

9/9/10
Hopefully the water temps. are on their way down. It was a hot summer. I will be on Dardanelle this weekend looking around. Hogs looked good on their first outing this year. Will be headed to Norfork end of next week. Wish me well in the State BASS Federation Tourney.

8/20/10
It's been really hot in Arkansas...over 100 for many day. I have not spent much time on the water. I have hit the water a few Sat. mornings, but nothing to brag about. Fishing is slow and this angler is looking forward to some fall fishing when the air is crisp, fish are biting, and Razorback football is on the radio.

7/26/10
Hung out at the High School World Championship on Lake Dardanelle this weekend. Those kids really caught some good fish. Congrats to all who participated. It was good to see so many participate.

6/19/10
Today was the PEACE Kids Derby. Awesome turnout. Many kids caught fish even though it was a bit warm...HOT! It is by far the most rewarding event I participate in each year. Check out photos on my photos page from the event.

6/2/10
At Lake Fork in Texas for the Skeeter Owner's Tournament. Big fun.

5/8/10
Today Sam and I won the Fishers of Men Central Arkansas tournament on Lake DeGray. Awesome day. We caught many fish. Now qualified for the regional tournament in Oct.

4/24/10
Today I attended the Fourche River Days events in Perryville, AR. Great turnout once the storms moved out. The rain, hail, and wind didn't keep the anglers from bringing in nice sacks of fish. I had the privilage to emcee the Fourche River Days Bass Tournament. Thanks to all who helped make this event a success.

3/25/10
Well, I have not spent much time on the water, it's all been about work the past few weeks. Moved a huge report off my desk, and was proud to see it go.
I actually have a busy weekend scheduled, but will not be fishing. Tonight I will be attending the ATU College Bass Invitational banquet, Fri. I will emcee their weigh-in, and then on Sat. I will be hanging with ATF covering the Crappie Masters event on Lake Conway. Hope to see ya at one of these events. Be sure and watch for video soon.

2/28/10
Yesterday on Lake Ouachita started out cold. The fishing was tough. I realize I have no clue what to due when the water is cold. I started junk fishing...shallow, deep, and hitting all kinds of sturcture. I was able to locate one crazy keeper which tipped the scales over 3lbs. I caught it in the last 5 minutes of fishing, and had to rush to get checked in on time. That one fish took us all the way up to 7th place. The air temp. finally started to warm up by mid afternoon, but the stiff wind forced me to keep a jacket on all day. Even with fishing tough, there is nothing better than being on Ouachita watching the mist lift off the surface of the water early in the morning. Fishing should start to get better in the next few weeks with warmer weather on it's way.

2/23/10
Enjoyed visiting with many of you at the Classic this past weekend. I spent time at the Skeeter booth, but also had time to make my way around the expo show. And believe it or not, I actually got to watch the weigh-ins. Now it's back to work.

2/17/10
Headed to the Bassmaster Classic after work tomorrow. Looking forward to catching up with friends and watching some good bass fishing.

2/14/10
My first tournament of the season was Sat. Tough winter fishing conditions. The key was fishing the points with no snow on them...water was a few degrees warmer around them. Another key was fishing very slowly. I'll be glad when the warmer sping like weather arrives.

2/3/10
Just got out of the dermatology clinic, can't say it was painless, but needed a check-up. Hey anglers, it's a great time of year to get in to see your dermatologist.

2/2/2010
First tournament of the season was schedule for this past weekend. It was postponed due to ice and snow. Good call on part of the tournament director. Looking forward to kicking off the season on Feb. 13 on Greers Ferry. Check out the newest video from the Marine Expo at http://arkansastournamentfishing.com

1/24/2010
Great boat show this weekend. Got to visit with many old friends, and make some new ones as well.

1/18/2010
Right now my plans are to fish the Fishers of Men Central Arkansas Division, and a few other local events. I am still working on some other plans at this moment.

1/5/2010
BASS announced yesterday in three short paragraphs that the WBT has come to an end. The 2010 WBT schedule was set, plans made, and reservations confirmed, so this came as a bit of a shock to everyone.
The past four years have been a great experience that I don't regret living. The many lessons I learned along the way are invaluable. The dust has not settled yet, but many of us that fished as pros on the WBT are scrambling to make plans for 2010, even with seasons starting in just a few short weeks. This should be an interesting year as many top female anglers merge into other mainstream events.
Yesterday I woke up with plans, today I am unsure what I will try to pursue. Best of luck to all my former WBT friends and competitors.
