I learned to fish as a young child when my father took me to farm ponds and the banks of the Fouche River. I, along with my brother, spent many hours of our childhood fishing and boating. About twelve years ago a friend introduced me to tournament fishing, and I was hooked. I have spent the last twelve years fishing local club tournaments and other small tournaments throughout the state and region. I also fished a few of the national tournaments. During the 2006 and 2007 seasons I competed against the top female anglers from around the world on the Women's Bassmaster Tour.
